Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. South African banking and financial services regulations gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. South African banking and financial services regulations also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

  • identity number and payment history
  • account balances and account transactions
  • credit history and cheque or savings account information

 

When you are no longer our customer/member, we can continue to share your information as described in this notice.

What we do

How does EntBanc Financial Services Primary Cooperative Limited protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with South African banking and financial services law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

Where appropriate, we use security encoding techniques to protect against unauthorized access to personal records, ensure accuracy and integrity of data, and protect your confidentiality.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

South African law gives you the right to limit only to:

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes-information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for non-affiliates to market to you

 

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing. See below for more information on your rights under state law.

How does Entbanc Financial Services Primary Cooperative Limited collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • open an account or apply for a loan
  • use your debit or credit card or make deposits or withdrawals from your account
  • provide employment information

 

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Non-affiliates

Entbanc Financial Services Primary Cooperative Limited does not share with our affiliates.

Entbanc Financial Services Primary Cooperative Limited does not share with non-affiliates so they can market to you.

A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Joint marketing

Our joint marketing partners include insurance, transactional, investment, asset management, credit and other financial services and non-financial services companies.
